About Me
Before teaching at Florida Gulf Coast University(FGCU), I taught Academic Writing and English as a Second Language at several colleges and universities throughout the state of New Jersey. My teaching career in higher education began in 2008. I also served on the Freshman Placement Testing Committee at The College of New Jersey and worked directly with their tutoring center. In the past, I taught Language Arts Literacy to middle school students before going back to pursue my advanced degrees. Currently, I am a writing consultant for the FGCU Writing Center, and I teach Academic and Professional Writing, Literature, and University Colloquium (Environmental Studies).
Education
I attended Rider University in New Jersey, where I earned a BA in English and Education. I also earned a minor in Writing. I also attended The College of New Jersey, where I earned my MA in Literature and an M.E.d in Teaching English as a Second Language.
Teaching Experience
I have been teaching for 12 years and have been tutoring at the Florida Gulf Coast University Writing Center as a Senior Writing Consultant. I have been with Parliament for two years.
Interests
When I am not working, I like to go to the beach or lounge by my pool. I also like to ride my bike and exercise.
I love teaching and explaining science at every level!
